As long as you continue to pay your premiums, your Quick Life Insurance benefit will continue up to age 75. Once you reach 75, your premiums stop and your cover reduces to $15,000 to help with funeral costs and any other final expenses.
For extra protection and peace of mind, we make it easy to cover your partner under the same policy. When you add a second life insured, you’ll receive an annual $50 premium discount for their cover which will be shown on your Policy Schedule.
Our quick and easy application process means we rely on some policy exclusions to help us manage the risk of your cover. Some of these exclusions apply during the first five years of your policy and some last forever. At claim time, we will collect information about you to see if any of the exclusions apply.
In the first five years: We won’t pay a Quick Life Insurance benefit if you develop a Terminal Illness or pass away directly or indirectly as a result of: suicide or deliberate self-inflicted injury; or as a result of a Pre-Existing Medical Condition.
Total Exclusions: We won’t pay a Quick Life Insurance benefit at any time if you pass away directly or indirectly as a result of: engaging in any criminal or illegal acts; a Dangerous Occupation or Pastime; any malignant Cancer diagnosed by a Medical Practitioner prior to taking out cover; or any of these eight chronic or debilitating diseases (hiv infection; hepatitis C; cancer; multiple sclerosis, polycystic kidney disease; familial adenomatous polyposis; huntington’s disease; cystic fibrosis or muscular dystrophy).
For capitalised terms in Orange, there are specific definitions that we rely on when a claim is lodged to determine when we will and when we will not pay a benefit. Refer to pages 13-15 in the Policy Wording or the Product Exclusions Fact Sheet.
With every stage of life, your needs and priorities can change. That’s why it’s important to carefully consider the terms, conditions and exclusions of this life insurance policy and decide whether it meets your requirements. When you take out Quick Life Insurance we do not ask you about your personal circumstances including your health history or that of your partner. Please ensure you are aware of the full range of options available to you before taking out cover.
If you want a larger amount of life cover up to $1 million, our Platinum Life Insurance may be more suitable. You will need to answer a few questions about your past health and medical history when you apply. Click here for more details >>
